Building the Foundational OS for African Innovation

For four years, Free Africa Alliance operated at the core of Africa’s human capital development, building networks and trust across the continent's innovation ecosystem.

That deep, on-the-ground work revealed the single greatest systemic bottleneck: broken capital allocation. Brilliant founders were stalled not by a lack of ideas or effort, but by an analog, inefficient process for finding capital.

In 2025, we leveraged that foundational insight to launch our new, focused venture: Freed.

Free Africa Alliance is now the holding entity and historical network from which Freed operates. Freed is the active, pre-seed technology startup building the capital operating system for Africa; the software infrastructure designed to fix the pipes our earlier work proved were broken.

Our mission has evolved from building human capital to building the financial infrastructure that allows that capital to realize its full potential.
